Stuck, stalled or ready to jump ship?
High-stakes career decisions deserve strategy, not guesswork. Career Crossroads gives you 3 focused sessions and my insight as a ex-Big 4 leader, PLUS a plan you can act on on Monday morning.
You’ve got responsibilities. A mortgage. Kids. Pets. Parents. A reformer pilates habit. And suddenly?
A career that doesn’t fit.
Now is not the time for a dramatic “I quit!” moment. Not when you’ve worked so bloody hard to get to where you are. But lately, something feels off.
Maybe it’s a case of the Sunday scaries. Maybe you’re wondering if you’ve stalled in a role that isn’t going anywhere. Or maybe you’re starting to question if there’s something else out there for you. A completely different career.
You know staying stuck isn’t an option. But you need a safe, structured way to figure things out without burning it all down.
That’s where Career Crossroads comes in.
Career Crossroads isn’t a one-off pep talk or a quick fix.
This is a strategic reset for your career.
For the client who says:
“I look around me, and I think I should be promoted. I’m good at what I do - better than people around me.”
👩🏻💼 Someone who wants to be promoted, but needs support in owning that conversation and driving that forward. They want to explore how they will SELL themselves to get that promotion. But it’s not just an intellectual exercise of getting clear on the skills and experiences they bring, but also the inner beliefs they have, so that they feel CONFIDENT in articulating, ‘You need to promote me’.
There are 2 components to this engagement: 1 - the intellectual bit of this is the personal and business case for your promotion, aka this is what I can do, and this is why the business needs me to do it. The other part is how you confidently articulate this. There’s an apologetic thing that people do when asking for a promotion: “Do you think I’m ready?” and we turn that around, so it’s not easy to turn you down or push you back or defer that chat for another time!
This client wants to ‘Move Up’
For the client who says:
“I can’t do another 10 years of this.”
👩🏽💼 Someone who feels that the work they do no longer feels right for them. Lost energy, love and drive but they don’t really know what to do next. What we explore is a reengagement with themselves. Like, what does give you joy? Excitement? What do you want to spend your time on? The career they’ve ended up in was initially created when they were much younger, and now they’ve reached a point where they’re questioning what they want for the next 10 years - or asking themselves, ‘is this how I want to work for the next 10 years?’ It’s exploring what they do and how they do it, cos there’s a banality and disconnect with where they are at right now. What’s next?
The components for this engagement: what I normally get with people for this one is that they’re working hard, there’s a lot going on in life, and the work is just not fulfilling them anymore. They want to do something different. They want work to feel and be different, but they don’t know what that is. And/or, their thinking is restricted to what they know, also, they lack confidence to even go out there and look for something different (because of this ‘restricted’ experience). This work often is another exploration of what are their strengths are, but also, what’s important to them, what do they enjoy doing and how do they want to show up at work.
Example: I enjoyed developing members of my team at work. So they might say, ‘I would like to do more of that in my next role’ but through Career Crossroads, we realise its not a wholesale “I’m going to leave marketing and become an illustrator” but is often a slight change in direction, and a realignment with how they approach work and show up.
This client wants to ‘move out or move on.’
Career Crossroads success stories
-
"I gained a lot of insight into my values and how my actions and reactions are shaped by these. I have a better understanding of how I can build my confidence by focusing on my strengths and building on the moments in my career where I really felt competent in my abilities. You are a completely brilliant coach - straight talking and to the point but with so much empathy and insight. I also valued the fact that, being ex Big Four, we could jump straight into the nub of an issue without needing to cover all the nuances of the context because you lived it yourself."
Cassie, Big Four Consultant
-
"I wanted to gain some perspective on myself, improved confidence at work and clarity on next steps in my career. Your authenticity, support and insightfulness helped me to gain confidence in myself and my skills and led to a promotion."
Sandy, Tech
-
"I wanted to increase my confidence and better market my value in my job. Your honesty and directness helped me to identify not only the value I thought I had but a lot more power that I held but would discount through self-doubt. With these coaching sessions I feel stronger and more confident and they made me realise that i had always had all the right tools to be great at my work, I just needed to recognise them in men and project them outwardly."
Consultant, Financial Services
